MISSION STATEMENT

SOUNDVIEW OPERA LONG ISLAND aspires to enlighten, excite, educate, and inspire our audiences by bringing high-quality, accessible live musical performances by opera singers and classically trained instrumentalists to our community.

SOLI presents beloved opera arias and staged scenes today, with the goal of adding fully staged productions with orchestra to our programming.

Our focus is opera, and, to embrace a wider audience, we also include art songs, operetta, classic musicals, and other music genres that are enhanced by being presented by our accomplished classically trained performers, who include experienced artists and emerging talent.

Our high-level performances appeal to audiences already devoted to this art form. We also incorporate educational and informational elements to welcome new listeners of all ages and backgrounds to discover a love of classical vocal and instrumental music, which enhances the experience for all.

SOLI is Long Island based and we also intend to serve the Tri-State area. We connect with our broader community by performing in accessible, low- or no-cost venues such as libraries, churches, and other community-based centers and gathering places.
